Boca Juniors dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Flamengo's 26. American guard Michael Smith (193-1995, college: CBU) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 assists for the winners and swingman Martin Cuello (193-1993) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Boca Juniors players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Guilherme Deodato (192-1991) responded with 15 points and Jhonatan dos Santos (199-1987) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
